You watch YouTube, but it's all disjointed patterns, random licks, and "tricks & hacks" that leave you just as confused (if not more so) than before.
You've spent money with a local private teacher, maybe learned some songs (ones that he likes, not what you wanted to play) - but you still don't know how to write your own songs and riffs. Let alone how to jam with people.
You've put time, effort, money & high hopes into your Guitar playing; maybe just recently (if you're starting out), or perhaps for years now. But something is still missing, and there's that nagging question in the back of your mind when you play:
"How does all of this stuff fit together so that I can use it?"
Here's the somewhat good news...it's not your fault that you feel this way. How could it be? With all the teachers out there, both local and online, how are you supposed to know who's a great instructor and who's not? Who has the experience and skill, and who's just trying to sell you? If someone shows you a "trick", and then fails to put it into a larger context, then how is that your fault?
Well...it's not.
In fact, you're entitled to better Guitar instruction, because you want to take your improvement seriously [spoiler alert: that's really the only type of Guitar student that I want to spend time with].
If you want more than just shapes, tricks, hacks, "fretboard heat maps", and other nonsense - in other words, if you want to know how things like technique, neck knowledge, and music theory actually fit together on the Guitar - then Metal Guitar Academy is the solution.
You've missed important foundations along the way, and that's a big source of your frustration. Master them here with me, and then let me help you take things to the next level, with a greater understanding of how music works, and how to apply it practically to the fretboard - for better soloing, riffing, jamming, and writing.
That's why you're here, and that's why I'm here. Let's get moving!
