Private Lessons With the MGA Syndicate

If you want real progress—not random riffs and quick-fix promises—you’re in the right place.

I’m Brett Miller, founder of Metal Guitar Academy. I’ve spent 20+ years teaching Guitarists, and have taught over 50,000 one-on-one private lessons. Everything I do is built around a step-by-step system that creates control, clarity, and confidence.

The Metal Guitar Academy Syndicate is a small group of instructors I personally invited to teach MGA students because they teach the way I teach: fundamentals first, no gimmicks, and with a clear plan you can actually follow.

Get Matched for Private Lessons

What this is:

Private lessons with an MGA Syndicate instructor—matched to your goals, schedule, and current level.

Lessons are taught via Zoom, so we can work with you no matter your location or time zone.

The Framework We Teach: T.N.T.™

Most Guitar instruction is random. MGA is built around T.N.T.™

  • Technique (hands, mechanics, control)

  • Neck Knowledge (fretboard clarity)

  • Theory (understanding what you’re playing and why)

You won’t be sold hype. You’ll be taught a system that creates explosive progress, built on fundamentals.

Frequently asked questions

about the MGA Syndicate

“Who will I be working with?”

You’ll work directly with an MGA Syndicate instructor matched to your goals and schedule. Lessons are taught online via Zoom and follow the same fundamentals-first Metal Guitar Academy approach.

“Are lessons on Zoom?”

Yes. Lessons are taught via Zoom, which lets us work with Guitarists worldwide across time zones—without sacrificing clarity, structure, or feedback.

“Are lessons weekly?”

Yes—weekly lessons are the standard, and that’s what we recommend for the best results. If you need every-other-week scheduling, include that in the form and we’ll do our best to accommodate it.

“What happens after I send the form?”

You’ll get a reply within 3 business days (usually faster) with your match and the next step to get scheduled.

“Do you work with beginners?”

Absolutely. If you’re willing to practice and you want a real foundation, you’ve found the right place.

“Do you work with advanced players?”

Yes—especially if you’ve hit a plateau, your picking is inconsistent, your timing is sloppy, or your fretboard knowledge is full of gaps.

“Is there a commitment?”

No contracts. No big upfront "tuition". Pay-as-you-go. Stay as long as it’s helping.
